Cappadocia Balloon Ride

Goreme Turkey, a town in the region of Cappadocia. Big time yawn….it is 5:00 AM. A special taxi knocked at our door, taking us to the balloon “lift off” area. With giant fans, they inflated the balloon, and soon we were quietly rising over the most miraculous landscape in the world. To be honest Janice, who has vertigo, was determined to enjoy the ride. To get the best shots of the day, I was eagerly hanging over the basket. Okay, only once, I bumped her leg and she clenched the railing and gave me the “Janice stare” but other than that it was the ride of a lifetime. ….. yes… for BOTH of us…
Oh and even now she doesn't want to know how high we were during the "swimming pool" shots: (look for them at 2,200 meters!) for best viewing hit "slideshow" in the top right corner. Enjoy Mike
